Christian Mendoza
Co-founder & Technical Director
A former college soccer player of De Anza College & Menlo College, Coach Christian holds a BA in Sports Business Management and a wealth of experience in the game. Having previously coached at various top local youth clubs such as San Mateo Quakes, Palo Alto SC, Stanford SC and Juventus Academy SV, Coach Christian is currently the Technical Coach at his alma mater, Menlo College. Coach Christian focuses on developing a player’s technical aspect of the game and his passion leads him to create an environment for athletes who want to grow and on and off the pitch.

JP MendozA
Co-founder & private Trainer
A graduate from the Menlo College Men’s Soccer team, Coach JP spent his youth playing at the top clubs in the Bay Area including the San Jose Earthquakes Academy and De Anza Force. A detailed-oriented individual, Coach JP has accumulated 5 years of coaching experience and focuses on sculpting training drills that will replicate what a player can expect in a game. Now a full-time trainer, Coach JP looks forward to continuing to serve youth soccer players as he helps them to develop their confidence and technical & tactical ability.

Axel valle
private Trainer
Axel is also a recent graduate from Menlo College, where he transferred on a scholarship from Cañada College as a central midfielder. Axel's youth career was under the guidance of Terry Wilson, a former Premier League player for Nottingham Forest, and he has since accumulated a wealth of experience as a player and now as a coach. As a former coach at Palo Alto SC, Axel is passionate about developing players who want to improve their technical and tactical abilities through game-realistic training. A product of private training himself, Axel has his sights set on playing at the professional level and he hopes to inspire his players to pursue their dreams as well.

Aaron (aj) Edwards
private trainer
Coach AJ is a current member of the San Jose Earthquakes MLS Next Pro team and is primarily an outside back. He has played for the San Jose Earthquakes Academy and De Anza Force academy, and played his college soccer at UCLA. Having played at a high level and coaching for the previous 4 years, Coach AJ likes to focus a lot on the technical side of the game but also mentor younger players on the mental aspect of the game as well.

Matt Cunningham
director of Operations
Also a graduate from the Menlo College Men's Soccer program, Matt has transitioned to the business side of the game and has worked with companies such as adidas, Reebok, Path2Pro, and Bay Cities FC. Born and raised in Northern Ireland, Matt moved to the US in 2017 to play college soccer at Concordia University - Portland and finished at Menlo College with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing & Business Management. Matt manages Footy Academy's day-to-day operations, including marketing, scheduling, partnerships, and general business development.
